Life Happens

CPS Introduces The "Life Happens" Program

Beginning in February, all CPS policies will contain a "Life Happens" bracelet.

As many of you know, CPS is a firm believer in expanding the education of our brokers and their clients. Back in 1994, a friend of ours, and past President of NAIFA, David Woods started an organization called the Life and Health Insurance Foundation for Education (LIFE). Their mission was to address the public's growing need for information and education about life, health, disability and long-term care insurance, and to remind people of the important role our brokers perform in helping families, businesses, and individuals find the insurance products that best fit their needs.

For the past 2 years CPS CEO, Peter Holden has had the honor to serve as a member of the LIFE Board of Directors, and has been amazed to see firsthand how LIFE is able to educate agents, carriers and the general public about the essential role life insurance plays in securing the future of so many people. As part of that, we are starting a program where each and every policy that gets mailed from CPS will include a "Life Happens" bracelet along with a letter from the CEO explaining the program.

We are encouraging each of our brokers to try wearing the bracelets for a week and see how many times someone asks them what it’s about. There is no better way to start a conversation about all the ways a broker can help protect them and their families, then when they open the door themselves.

We also invite you to log onto the LIFE Web site at www.Life-Line.org and take a look at all of the other educational and marketing products and services they have to offer. If you would like to participate in the “Life Happens” campaign yourself, bracelets can be ordered directly from the Web site at .50˘ each. You're welcome to use the cover letter if you like, or create one of your own. If you would like some help developing a plan using these tools, Director of Marketing, Greg Wilson, will be happy to assist you.

We hope that you'll take a minute and think about how you might be able to use these bracelets, as well as some of the other resources offered by LIFE. They just may be the least expensive marketing tools you’ll ever use.
